Dear Reader:

God's Holy Rest has been around For Ever.  It is part of His Throne.  It is part of His Glory.  It is part of His Wisdom.

This is one reason satan hates it so.  Just like satan hates mankind, parenthood, motherhood, procreation, love, joy, and peace, these are things he cannot have or do.  These things are within the image of God.  Oh how that little devil hates God.    (image+of+God search)

The Sabbath, as God instituted it on this earth, is something satan would like to have.  Rest.  He has no rest.  Satan has no rest or peace or love or joy. 

The Sabbath is a separating sign between God and His people.  "Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them."     Ezekiel 20:12    Exodus 31:17    Exodus 20:20    Exodus 31:13    Judges 20:38    Job 34:12-28    Exodus 31:17

Deception and corruption is satan's studied effort.  He has had plenty of time to perfect his ploys.  "For we are not ignorant of his devices."  If satan can not usurp authority for his own, then he will so junk up the real thing as to make it evil.  "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!"    2 Corinthians 2:9-11    Isaiah 5:20-21    Isaiah 5:18-23

Another ploy, tempt the people to legislate his doctrines.  Theocracies are of satan.
The only theocracy God ever tried, did not work.

God's Throne is a monarchy.  "And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."    Revelation 19:16    Revelation 19:11-21

"Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence."    John 18:35-37

The subterfuge of all the issues before modern man is baffling.  It is satan's studied effort to create problems, then propose solutions far worse than the original problem.  The original problem is sin.  The original little 'problem' is him.  From flag burning all the way up, this is subterfuge of legislated righteousness. These things are half truth misdirections.  One can put stone monuments on the court house lawn, but when one wants to pass a constitutional amendment forcing the conscience, that is evil.  Any tamper with what has been instituted at God's direction is very dangerous.  Any deviation from what God has said is evil, but to make someone else deviate is open rebellion.  God never forces the conscience.

"And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time."    Daniel 7:25    Daniel 7:24-26

The Lord does say, "Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye."    Ezekiel 18:30-32    Ezekiel 33:7-11

We already know of countries which have religious doctrines encoded into their secular laws.  In short, THEOCRACIES.

The "Beast" is the symbol of a church/state power and doctrinal system that enforces doctrinal beliefs, especially during the last days.    Revelation 13:11-18 

This sad state of affairs where 'the churches' wield political power has been allowed by God throughout history.  God's Word says the last argument will, among other things, be over this question of God's Holy Day. 

I am a patriot. I love my nation. I love America.  God did not leave America out of prophecy.  The United States of America, "my country tis of thee," is the beast who comes up out of the ground, having two horns like a lamb.  But the prophecy says she shall speak as a dragon.    Revelation 13:11 

Beasts in prophecy most usually symbolize a governmental or religious power, no more, no less.  A government has no conscience.  The conscience of a government's rulers is the only commitment a government has. 

A government, governs in a practical, expedient manner, just like a corporation exists only to make money and continue to exist.  A government will do what it needs to do to stay in power. 

There is chatter in the chat rooms and forums of the Internet. Talk of strange things. Strange things are soon to happen.  Quickly.  Only he who has "hope in the LORD" can have His Rest.    Psalm 31:17-34    Psalm 130:1-8    Psalm 131:1-3    2 Thessalonians 2:3-4

The Ecumenical movement, "Pacem en Terra," the Evangelical movement, these are not necessarily good things. The awakenings, gatherings, and anointings, we see now, are not necessarily good things.

The new world order, doctrine of pre-emption, nation building, these are not necessarily good things.

America came up "out of the earth."  It was not a nation formed on conquest, but a nation formed on desires for peace, and ownership of land.    Revelation 13:11-12

America was formed with two separate horns of power, like a lamb.  America was formed with civil democracy, and religious association, as separate, distinct, and recognized sources to guide and direct men.  America was formed with peace, duty to God and family, duty to country, and personal opportunity as its birthright and legacy.

America has changed much since Ben Franklin's day.  Some of our values remain the same.  Some values have changed.  Some have disappeared.  Much more will change in America, and change quickly.  It is not my country's fault.  My beloved United States is just a country fulfilling its place in history. 

The controversy is between God and Satan.  The struggle is 'our personal fight.'  Our struggle is "against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world," spiritual forces loose on planet Earth.  Earth and man got caught up in the controversy and conflict.  The choices men make prove whose side they are on.  "Choose you this day whom ye will serve." "As for my house, we will serve the Lord."    Ephesians 6:12-18

We must remember the Scripture texts which speak of the last great deceptions.  Texts like:

"For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."    Matthew 24:24    Matthew 24:23-25   

"And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."    Matthew 24:11-13

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."    2 Corinthians 11:13-15

"But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister."     Hebrews 6:9-10
