You have not lived until you have had a really sharp tooth ache, ear ache, or back ache. -- If you have experienced this, you know exactly what i mean!.

Oh, oh, oh, . . . my God,  . . . You have got to save Me!

But . . . then . . . WHY? . . . because i am in pain ! ?
Why should He?
Does God "have to" save me?

OK,
. . . You are curled up on the couch.  You have grit your teeth and the pain has subsided a little.  Then the wife asks you a innocent question. "Would another aspirin help?"

You go to answer and BOOM,  back into tears, spasms & pain. . . .
Or  . . . you have an earache . . . in both ears.  When that happens one can not see either, everything in your head hurts.

Or . . . for those of you who know this next pain, i feel for  you, . . .
When you think you have the backache, well, livable, and BAAM . . . you are on the floor, blinding, nagging, pain, and your legs won't move, and you can't get up, and  . . . (shudder) . . .

Oh, my God, You have Got to Save Me!

But . . . then . . . You probably were not even thinking of God until the pain got really, really, bad.  Just before the last bolt of flashing pain went through your body you were saying "Blast . . . i wish this pain would go away."  Few people would say, "Praise you for this blinding pain Lord!  I thank you that all things work together for my good!" . . . Few people would say "Thanks, I needed this."

Probably though, the dentist, doctor, chiropractor, antibiotics, pain pills, or time and guts saved you . . . if you even got saved at all.

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."    Matthew 7:21-23

How many is many? . . . Many?

When the professionals "saved" you they probably  . . . ripped that bad tooth out of your head . . . cut your spine open and played in there with needles and knives. . . gave you a couple pills and said "if it doesn't get better in a week, call me."

Then you go about your business as well as you can.  You are just so thankful the bed has a button you can punch to call the nurse.

When sin entered this world, Adam and Eve were not running to God begging Him to "Save" them. ------- They were hiding, more worried about cosmetics, clothing,  and shades of green.  They were too proud to see what they had really done.

Now imagine . . .  You are in a fox hole in Corregidor . . .
World War 2 it was. And bombs, bullets, and flame throwers are going off all around you.
They say there are no atheists in Fox Holes!

Oh, my God, you have got to save me! . . . Why should God Save You?
Because you are so good, and you love God so much ???    Isaiah 64:6    Isaiah 64:1-12

Because God's mercy endures forever?  The Word says He ". . . will by no means clear the guilty; . . ."    Exodus 34:6-8    Numbers 14:18

Or, really, imagine being in a HumVee in Iraq, going down the streets of ??? A roadside bomb could go off.  You could live, but loose half your mental faculties.  Some sniper, who doesn't know you from Adam, could shoot ya, and go home for supper. . . . Or you could be an Iraqi selling turnips on the side of the road when the IED blows up. . .
Oh oh my God, you have got to save me!. . .

I (ken) have not been in the war time fox hole situations. But I will tell you right now truly.
There have been numerous times when this boy has cried.  Psalm 72:12-15    Psalm 72:1-20

Oh, my God, You have Got to Save Me!

We all have had some of those experiences.  Now imagine, you are an innocent Moor during the Crusades.  And the Crusader has got a spike, stuck to your back side, getting ready to lift you up on that sharp pole, and make you sit there a while. . . . Would the Moor not cry to God, whoever God was to him . . . Oh, my God, you have got to save me!  Didn't Happen.

You know dear reader, . . . If the roles were switched, the Moor would be the one laughing while you were the one wiggling.

Or imagine, you are an early Christian in Rome.  Diocleation, the Emperor of Rome has you roped to a stake in the Coliseum.  The sun is going down.  After a bit of "Games" someone comes out and pours light sweet crude all over your body.  Someone else is shortly behind, with a torch,  BOOM, BAAM . . . Oh my God, you have got to save me!
Didn't Happen.

AT LEAST NOT YET. . . . If you believe God, He will save you, when He is ready.
If you trust God knows what He is doing, you will wait for Him & His Salvation,
living your life as He gives you Godly direction.

"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him."    Job 13:15-16

Or imagine, They just nailed you to a tree.  Then dropped that pole, in a big old hole, and the jar pulled your joints out of socket.  You had already cried to God to save you, the night before, and well . . . didn't happen. -- UNTIL LATER -- When God was good & ready.
Luke 22:35-48

Or imagine, Being a Jewish mother with children, huddled in the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, during the siege and subjugation by Rome in 70 AD.  You went there, because the rabbis told you, God would miraculously save you.  When the Romans came into the temple, their swords slew thousands.  The blood flowed in rivers down the steps.

Okay
, . . . Let us take a closer look at that poor boy who cried "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"  You know, the one they put on the pole, who went to that big old hole, the grave.

The Only One who can tell this story right is the Holy Word of God.  So with that said, see the following Scripture Texts referenced:

"Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die."    John 12:31-33

"And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him. Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die."    John 12:23-33

"And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land. For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids."    Zechariah 9:16-17

"My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long? Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake. For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?"    Psalm 6:3-5

"My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake. Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave."    Psalm 31:15-17

"For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me."    Psalm 44:6

"I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O LORD: I will keep thy statutes. I cried unto thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies. I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word."    Psalm 119:145-147

"My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness. Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts. I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight. Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me. I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments."    Psalm 119:172-176    Psalm 119:1-176

"And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger."    Luke 17:12-18

"How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;"    Hebrews 2:3

"For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator."    1 Peter 4:17-19

"Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all."    Jeremiah 31:12

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God."
    Romans 8:16-19

Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah."
    Psalm 89:31-37

"Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day: And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known."
    Deuteronomy 11:26-28

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. "For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked. That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it."    1 Corinthians 12:24-26

"Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God. For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;"    Philippians 1:27-29

"Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."    Philippians 4:11-13

"For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe."    1 Timothy 4:10

"For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.     1 Peter 3:13-15    1 Peter 3:12-18

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin."    Hebrews 12:2-4    Hebrews 12:1-14    Hebrews 12:1-29

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."    Philippians 2:5-11

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."    Romans 8:1-4

"For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made."    Isaiah 57:15-16    Isaiah 57:1-21

"The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one."    Psalm 14:2-3

"A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth. He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers; Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord. Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy. These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:"    Proverbs 6:12-20

"Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil."    Proverbs 1:20-33

"Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul."    Hebrews 10:38-40

"Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst. "    Isaiah 50:2-3    Isaiah 50:1-11

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."    2 Corinthians 5:17-21    2 Corinthians 5:10-21

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."    Revelation 21:1-8

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful."    Revelation 21:4-5

Please Lord, . . . Let All Mean All . . . We Wait Upon You Lord! Amen.

Jesus Comes, period.

Be kinder than necessary, everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

"For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself,
lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds."    Hebrews 12:3
