'The Bizzillion $ ?'

That is the sixty million dollar question.  What should I do about all this information?  Is there any use to knowing the world is about to end?  Should I fall down in fear, or jump for joy?

At this time, the starting of the first draft of this chapter, it is 11:25 PM, on a Monday night.  This book is being written by a real person, at a real time, with real problems, hopes, dreams, desires, real faith, and real fears.  Just like you.

I told a friend, I would mention him in this book.  Why is that important?  Because I told him I would, he asked me to do it, and it seems like a fun, special thing to do.

My friend is just like the rest of us.  He would like to have his needs met, without having to sweat, and risk life and limb.  He would like to have security, happiness, and a knowledge everything will work out right.  We both entered the 'Bizzillion Dollar Give-Away Sweepstakes.'

A person could take the knowledge that the world was ending, and use that knowledge as a reason to learn all God has to say about the event.  A person could take the information and modify the circumstances of their life so to be fully prepared for the event.  A person could find out what God would like from him and try to do it.  A person could prepare, and watch, so the day didn't sneak up on them.

If I knew, with certainty, the world would end around such and so day, that would be news I could sure use.  I wouldn't be slow in doing whatever it was I needed to do.

And, if there were no need to change any aspects of ones life, then one would just praise God, and with great joy, look eagerly forward to that day.  Jesus said in a parable,
"Occupy till I come."  Occupying ones personal living position means not having to change a lifestyle, just to change a life.  One need not conduct the affairs of their life differently, except where sin is involved.   (Luke 19:13)

Change only those things God directs you to change.  There is no reason to move, change jobs, or live life differently, just because Jesus is coming.  If circumstances, or God, give you a reason to make changes in your life, by all means change.  If the need to change is not apparent, don't change.  Except for sin, which must be changed, one should be very happy, if there was nothing which needed changing in their life.

The Bible says to "wait upon the Lord."  Things affecting ones relationship to God have to be scrutinized.  One must change things God directs him to change in his life.  Mostly though, God would have us conduct our daily affairs responsibly, "giving our households food at the right times."   (Luke 19:13; Zephaniah 3:8-9;  Psalm 27:14; Luke 12:35-44;
                Matthew 24:45-47 paraphrase)

I would much rather be joyful and looking forward to His coming, than have cause to fear it.  The Bible says, if we love Him, and accept His gifts, there is no cause to fear anything.
(Psalm 91:1-16)

Do I know your future?   Ha!   I don't know my future, much less yours.  But, I can make some good 'predictions,' about everyone's future.  How much God may enlighten me, you, and us, to our future, is with Him according to His spirit.  His Spirit may help you learn Earth's future, and learn your future.  God's prophecies about the future of everyone living now are contained in the Bible.  I will  do my best to edify us, according to the spirit He gives me.

God has some prophecies about Earth's future.  There is a big difference in my predictions and God's prophecies.  They are not the same thing.  They can say the same thing, but there is a distinct difference in source.  Can I prophesy?
"Worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."    (Revelation 19:10)

This distinction must be made between prediction and prophecy.  A prediction is little better than a good guess.  God's prophecy is future sure to pass.

I can make good predictions, occasionally I'm wrong.  You can make good predictions too.  Just look around you, apply some thought and knowledge, and you can see things 'coming down.'  We have to do this every day, just to run our everyday lives.

A "thus saith the Lord" must be the final test.
"To the law and the testimony (scripture): if they speak not according to this word it is because there is no light in them."     (Isaiah 8:20)

Ya know, there are all sorts of people in the world.  Most of us humans want the same things; happiness, security, money, recognition, peace, safety, a new car, enough food to eat, to keep warm, a new job, a _________, et cetera, etc., etc., etc.  You fill in the blanks.  I don't know your life.  I don't know your personal circumstances.  God does.  He called the king Cyrus by name more than a century before Cyrus conquered Babylon.  (See Isaiah 45:1-6)

Only you control your relationship to God.  Your relationship to God is your business, God's business, and no one else's.  It is no one else's responsibility.  Being one of God's family is your responsibility.

How real my life, or your life, is, is not subject to question.  I breathe and can think.  You can too.  The proof of life is in the living.  I know I am alive.  You know if you are alive.  We must learn how to accept "Eternal Life."

We had no choice in the life we now live.  God does give us a choice in living the life He would give us.  Maybe you are a roofer, and you 'love your job!'  Or maybe you make ends meet on an assembly line, and would really like a change.

Maybe you are so fed up with religion, and people who have tried to feed it to you, that you have trouble believing God exists.  Possibly your zeal for God is so strong, and you are so full of faith and dedication to the Lord that, like Paul, you can't see the harm you may be doing.   (Acts 9:1-6)

Possibly, you are already a true saint.  If so, "Praise the Lord."

Maybe you just don't know.  Maybe your life is, at times, so unspeakably horrible, you tremble in fear.  [If this is the case in your life, read
Psalm 91, Isaiah 49:13-16, pray, trust Him, and seek all the help you can find from others to change your life.]

Maybe you don't know why your life has been the way it has.  Maybe you don't know what to do.  Maybe you don't care.

Maybe you do care.  If you do care, hope and faith will see you through. God will not forget you.
(Hebrews 11:1-3,39-40;   1 Corinthians 13:1-13;                 Isaiah 49:13-16)

You say you fit none of these descriptions?  God knows what description you fit.  He will give you any good thing you ask for.    (Matthew 7:7-11)

What will happen to you, before Jesus returns, and the world ends?  Whatever the specifics are in your life, you will have to fill your own blanks. God may bless you with some prophecy and foreknowledge.  He may give you only the Bible, but that is more than enough if you live with Him day to day.

The truest prophecies, of the future, and certain fate, of planet earth, are told in the Bible.  I will do my best to make some general predictions, based on my knowledge of what God's Word has to say.  With forethought, knowledge, and personal reading of the Bible,  you can transfer this information to your life, on a day to day basis.  You can rest assured I believe and know these things as true, or else I sure wouldn't write them.

Again, a distinction must be made between prediction and prophecy.  But if,
". . . the Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy?"  You fill in the blanks in your life.    (Amos 3:8)

No matter what your station in life, rich or poor, your life will get better,   then worse, then better, then worse.  If you are one, or become one, of God's saints, then your life will become best.  If you become one of the castaways, then your life will be not.

The economy will get better, then worse, better then worse, with each fluctuation in the economy's condition more marked and visible.  This index will be up.  That index will be down.  This forecast will say one thing.  That forecast will say some thing different.  The complexity of the marketplace will grow, and breakdown, and grow still more. Fortunes will be gained and lost, faster and faster, until the world's economy collapses.

Book Contents

The social condition of mankind will get worse, be called better, then get worse, until both the 'do good-ers' and the 'do bad-ers' are at total war in society.

The courts and police will fight the criminals.  The 'pro-lifer' will fight the 'pro-choicer,' and vice versa, with more and more vigor. The 'Bingos' will fight the 'Bangos' for every little scrap of 'turf.'  If you are a member in some form of "gang," just remember, God deals with the individual
, "any man," not the group.   (Revelation 3:19-22)

Transportation will falter.  Food will be in great demand. The environment will not cooperate. Great signs will appear.  Wonders will happen.  "They shall cry peace and safety, then cometh sudden destruction."     (1 Thessalonians 5:1-4 paraphrase)

The governments will be deluged with cries for help.  In efforts to keep peace, keep control, the governments will try to meet the needs.  But the need for assistance becomes too great to be addressed.  So attempts and promises are made.  But there are contributors to be paid.  So the governments grant favors and laws.  Of course a law must be enforced.  And there is a public to pacify and provide for.  But the men of government are helpless.  The smart politician prays.

Nothing really new to any of this.  It has been going on since man first fell.  Only it is going to get worse.

The cities will grow more dangerous.  The countryside will become dangerous also, and grow more isolated.

Those who rule will rule more strongly.  Those who rebel will continue to rebel, and will become even more violent.

God's people will be nurtured and protected, but will want many things.  God's people will be denied many things.  God's people will continue to trust God.  After all, they are God's people.

Hidden by the Lord, their basic needs will be met.  Protected by God, His people will, only see what is happening, and be looking for His return.  All God's people have been sealed.  With nothing to do but wait, His people watch and pray.
(Psalm 91:1-16; Revelation 7:1-3)

The Mideast will hold the world's attention.  There will be talk of war and talk of peace.  The parties to that conflict will grow.  The parties to that conflict will command the attentions of the world.  Alliances will be formed, plans will be set.  The powers will confront each other in the region of the ancient city of Megiddo, which is the region of  modern Israel and Lebanon.  The kings of the earth gather at "Armageddon."  God has His weapons.

Though Europe might have a common currency, though the old Soviet Union may be a commonwealth and confederation of independent states, still oil greases the wheels of modern man.  America, Russia, China, the European Nations, all Nations want a piece of the Mideast peace.  Jesus will come when men are preoccupied with other things.  He will come as a
"thief in the night."  And His coming will burst out like lightning.                         (1 Thessalonians 5:1-10; Job 38:22-23; Isaiah 8:13-17;  2 Peter 3:9-15;  Revelation 16:15-16)

The religions of man will command obedience.  God's people will come out and withdraw from those religions, as the religious denominations show intolerance.     (Revelation 18:1-5)

Many people, pastors and members, who love their church, will hear God's call.  People who never believed in God, will praise and trust Him with loud voices.  Many people, whose faith has died and been asleep will, like flowers in Spring, have their faith in God come alive and blossom.

The religions will attempt to stop this loss of membership, and ask for the the help of the state.  'Christian Nation' will be the battle cry.  The 'New World Order' will strengthen.  "God's law" will be argued.  The wrong laws will be enforced.  The church/state beast will again "think to change times and laws," and ask for aid in legislating dogma into law.  "Saying to them that dwell on the earth that they should make an image to the beast."  The people will vote for this image, and vote that everyone will receive the mark of belonging to this society.
(Daniel 7:25; Revelation 13:14)

God's people cannot accept this mark, not in their thoughts, or in their actions.  Only those people who have this mark can buy or sell.  God's people are denied a way to make a living.   (Revelation 13:11-18)

If there is a law needed, the Constitution can be changed.  If there is a national emergency, the nation can command obedience.

God has His seal, to mark His people.  A seal is a mark which shows something belongs to the seal holder.  God's seal is His memorial of creation.  To have any legal seal, as in a Seal of State, seal of authority, seal of position, three things must be present.  The name of the seal holder, his territory, and the seal holder's authority, make up a legal seal.
"Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy."  "For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day."  The Lord (name of seal holder)  made (title/authority: Creator)  heaven and earth (territory).  The judgment hour message says to "worship Him that made" all things.     (Revelation 7:2-3;  Exodus 20:8-11;  Revelation 14:6-7)

The mark of the beast is in direct conflict with the seal of God.  God has choices to make, choices about whom to save.  Those of us living then, affected by this conflict, will have to make a choice of whose mark to receive in our thoughts and actions.  A "Great Decision" must be made daily concerning whom we will serve.  Then the end will come.

There is only one way to be saved.  Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.  We can be reunited with God the Father only through belief and trust in Him.

Jesus said He has salvation and eternal life.  He said man's natural state is death, and if God did not intervene, all men would die forever.

Jesus said He would personally, give any one of mankind, you, eternal life, a new heart, a new body, if that human being will just accept the gift and cherish it. The gift of God is life. Accept life, believe you have it from God, cherish it, thank Jesus for it, and you will and do have eternal life.

The Bible will point the way to Jesus.  The Holy Spirit will teach you the way to live.
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved and thy house."    (John 14:6; John 5:19-29;  Romans 6:23; John 16:13-16; Acts 16:30-33)

Would you like true knowledge of your future?  No, this is not a trick question.  If you want true knowledge of your future, trust in God, do your best, then every promise given to God's people will be your future.    (Revelation 2:7,11,17,26-29; Revelation 3:5-6,12-13,21-22;
         Revelation 21:7;   among others)
