Jesus went to be a Priest and Prince of Peace for us.  Jesus went to build a place for us also. That place is the New Jerusalem, city of peace, city of God.    Hebrews 11:16

All God's children admit, we are strangers and sojourners on this earth and look for that city ". . . whose builder and maker is God."  Our kingdom is truly "not of this world."    1 Chronicles 29:15

Well, just what is that city like.  What are the New Earth and New Heavens going to be like.  I tell you truly, it is nothing like the popular conception of heaven.    Revelation 21:1-27

I have my personal understanding of the new earth.  It is wonderful, glorious, and beautiful beyond compare.  The Bible says, "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."  But i can imagine.  Selah -- Imagine that.    1 Corinthians 2:9

A glorified body will be our flesh.  A perfect language will be our speech.  And God will be our teacher.    1 Corinthians 15:42-58    Zephaniah 3:8-9    Isaiah 2:3

"And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.  They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat:  for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. . . . before they call, I will answer; . . . They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord."    Isaiah 65:21-25 

"The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them."    Isaiah 11:6-9    Isaiah 66:22    Isaiah 35:1-10    Revelation 22:5    Isaiah 60:19    Revelation 22:1-4

The state of the Redeemed in Eternity has been surrounded by much superstition.  You will not be a spirit floating on a cloud, with wings, playing on a harp!  Or any thing close to it.  We may know how to play a harp, but God has more in store for us. 

It is written, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."    1 Corinthians 2:7-10

You will not spend Eternity in Heaven.  Earth is man's created home.  We may visit Heaven, but Earth is man's home.  And the New Earth will be man's Eternal home. 

The New Earth will become God's new home also, for it is written, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God."    Revelation 21:1-7

Let us long for the day when we see Him face to face, then truly, we shall know, even as we are known.    1 Corinthians 12:1-13

Jesus was a carpenter by trade. When He ascended up to Heaven, He went to build a Place.  He went to build the New Jerusalem.  Every husband wants to build a home for his wife.

The Bible says the New Jerusalem comes prepared like a Bride for her Husband.  The "mystery" of the church's marriage to Christ is beyond sinful man's ability to understand.  Oh, to be a guest, and just sit in the corner, there, welcome.    Revelation 21:2    Ephesians 3:1-12

And when we are, "as He is," you bet I'm going to crank it up and Celebrate.  "Make a joyful noise" unto the Lord.    1 John 3:1-3    Psalm 66:1-20

Which one of us will be able to consider the trials of our current life, and compare it?  Who, after relief, wants to remember pain and sorrow?  In this world we may return to our pain, and in sorrow, pray Him to heal us.  After His healing, His gifts, and His presence, who will remember the former things of pain and sorrow?  We will know Him.    Revelation 21:4-8

Jesus said, "I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:"  On the appointed day at the appointed hour, Jesus will come, and He "will not tarry."    Hebrews 8:10-12

So let all men everywhere today call upon the Lord to come quickly, and shorten the times upon us.  It is not time to celebrate yet.  It is time to wait and watch, so that day does not come on us unaware.  It is time to work, for it is still day.  Though night may come upon us, we will not be afraid.    Luke 21:34-36    Psalm 91:4-5    John 9:4

"For the Lord is not slack (slow) concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."    2 Peter 3:9

"If God be for us, who can be against us?"    Romans 8:31

Jesus said:  "I go to prepare a place for you."    John 14:1-4

"If any man thirst let him come unto me, and drink."  John 7:37-38    Revelation 21:6-7

". . . he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:"    John 11:25-26
