JESUS is coming,   soon.

Like it or not.

2 Timothy 4:8    Hebrews 9:28

Picture source for the West Earth background here

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
John 14:1-3   King James Version  Protestant Christian Bible

"The coming of the Lord has been in all ages the hope of His true followers.  The Saviour's parting promise upon Olivet, that He would come again, lighted up the future for His disciples, filling their hearts with joy and hope that sorrow could not quench nor trials dim. Amid suffering and persecution, the "appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ" was the "blessed hope."   E. G. White
The Great Controversy   Chapter 17   Heralds of the Morning
An online source for the above quotation can be found -->        Here .

Might Ken Floyd add, and is the "blessed hope."  Titus 2:13-14  Acts 1:9-11

Let us look at this from another angle.    Revelation 19:11-13    Revelation 19:14-16    Revelation 6:12-14     1 Thessalonians 4:13-18   Even if it was just a dream, . . . If, I was on earth and just saw the sky go black, the moon go red, an earthquake happen, the misty sky roll back, the graves of the dead burst open, and a being with eyes of flame, and many crowns, and a glorious name, appear with all the Holy Angels, one of two things would happen.  Either I would need one serious underwear change, or I would be soaked in tears.  I would either want to hide from Him, or Worship Him.  No metaphor, no simile, nor symbol needed.
We are talking Almighty God here.  A Glorified Jesus is coming to claim his own.

No matter what you believe about Jesus second coming to this earth in physical form, you know you would want to be ready for that day.   Wouldn't you?

Although the Bible does not give a date for this blessed occurrence.  Jesus did say to watch for it.  Jesus did say you could see it coming if you watched.  Jesus also said it would be like a thief in the night to those who did not watch.  And He gave signs and prophecy pointing to its closeness.  Everyday, that day gets closer.  The Apostles believed it, and looked forward to that day.  Abraham looked forward in faith to the second coming of Jesus Christ.   John 8:56-59    Enoch the seventh from Adam knew it would some day happen.   Jude 1:14-15

If one reads their Bible, and really wants to know, everything one needs to know about the return of Jesus is plain.  At least it seems so to me.     James 1:5-6      Read the scripture texts below, or just skip ahead to the conclusions, i (ken) have penned below the texts.

There is no desire here to bump heads with all the doctrines of christendom.  I firmly believe God and His Spirit help His children understand.  John 16:12-15    God does tell us to hear and understand these things.

So . . . Here come some Bible quotes:   "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:"  Matthew 24:15-21
"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."    2 Timothy 3:1-5             Romans 1:20-32     Jude 1:16-18
"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."                        2 Thessalonians 2:1-12

"Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."    Matthew 24:23-24
"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."    Luke 21 :25-27

The whole Bible is revealed to show us Jesus, His sacrifice, His union with the church, and His final disposition and doing away with all sin.  Jesus saves us from sin.  When He comes the consummation of His sacrifice will begin.

Deuteronomy 29:29     Matthew 11:25    Hebrews 2:10

Any action with purpose has three phases;  Plan,  Execution,  Completion.

At some point during the plan of salvation, God created planet Earth.  The first lie said God would not, could not, kill one of His creatures. Adam disobeyed God.  The history of our little planet has been one of constant death ever since.

Still, no human, except Jesus, has ever experienced real death.  Jesus said the dead were asleep, not conscious, and He brought some people back to life.

Still no one, except Jesus, has ever died the real death.  Jesus never sinned, so the real grave could not hold Him.  Because He did what God wanted, every time, God made Him King of everything.  At some point Jesus will take His throne.  Jesus is coming,   period.

"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil."    1 John 3:8

During the "Dark Ages" men thought the world was flat and at the center of the Universe.  We forget God is dealing with issues greater than this Earth and Mankind.  When we forget, that the case of sin is between Christ and the power of darkness, when we forget Salvation is not the only purpose being accomplished on Earth, don't we still act like we are the center of our universe.  Pride goes before destruction.

The history of this world  has been one of blessing from God, and perversion by Satan and sin.  Over and over and over again.  God gives mankind a help, and it gets perverted.  God gives a man a joy, a help, another blessing, and somehow it gets twisted all out of shape.  Another help, another perversion.  Over and over and over again.  That little devil even creates problems, and proposes solutions worse than the problem.  God said sin and death will stop.

From the moment Adam fell, yielding himself, his dominion, and his power to sin, God promised a deliverer and deliverance from sin.  Sin is breaking any one or more of  God's ten precepts.  God promised Jesus would come and remove sin.

There was a system of symbolized worship God set up through His people.  This was perverted into the pagan religions.  Some of these ancient religions had forms which looked right, and many forms which were completely perverted and evil.  God gave more understanding of the plan of salvation and it was perverted again.  Along came the Hebrews.  Children of promise.  They did not do all they said they would do, and God's blessings became perverted again.  Over and over, God gave the Hebrews blessing which they turned into cursing.

Then came Jesus as a man.  Jesus was born at a time, and in a place, when society was hard, cruel and ungodly.  Even the men who God had given the most blessings, and the most understanding of the plan of salvation, crucified Him.  Sorry, but one can't erase history.  One can't deny fact.   Blessing!    Perverted.

Except, the grave could not hold Him.  This blessing will always be pure and complete on every point.  Hallalujah!  Selah.  Amen.

The early church got perverted.  Paul saw it coming.  Peter saw it coming.  The early church was organized and grew.  Then the early church joined with the political state.  That church then grew into a monster of history.  History holds records of that monster, which held the whole world captive.  How many martyrs and godly people have been tortured and killed by that church through history, branded as heretics?  Sorry, one can't erase History.

God sent more understanding and more blessing and guess what?  The reformation, the advent movement, the evangelical movement, were these not blessings?  How many blessings does modern society have?  How many blessings does the modern church have?  How many blessings will God allow the church to pervert?

When will God say enough?  When will Jesus say "It is done?"

"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."    Matthew 5:18

"Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."    Revelation 14:7

"For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."    Exodus 20:11

"O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest."    Psalm 95:6-11       Hebrews 3:7-11    Hebrews 3

"And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be."    Revelation 22:12

"For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen,
O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him."    Isaiah 64:4

"Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness."    2 Peter 3:13

Maranatha -- A greeting / salutation used by the early Christians meaning, "The Lord Comes!"

Maranatha to you dear reader.  May God bless you with pure blessing, and keep you.

"Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen."    Jude 1:24-25
